While in Madrid, we visited the Royal Palace. Its the official residence of the King of Spain - but for some reason, he doesn't actually live there. We got to go round the rooms on the inside of the Palace, including the Throne Room but weren't allowed to take photos. The rooms were really lavish. There was also a room which had five Stradivarius violins and cellos.
It took an hour of waiting to get into the palace - there weren't enough ticket desks open and security took too long!! But there was an accordian player entertaining the crowd.
